The Write On Art Prize is open until March 31, 2020. The prize is sponsored by Art UK and the Paul Mellon Centre for Studies in British Art.

Open to young art writers aged 15–18. Pick one artwork featured on the Art UK website and write about it.
What does it say to you? What’s the history behind it? How does it make you feel?
Prizes: £500, £200. Three runner-up prizes of £100 each. The winners will have their essays featured on the Art UK and Paul Mellon Centre websites.
The panel of judges includes Art Critic and Writer Hettie Judah, Historian and Art Critic Sir Simon Schama, Author Karen Gregory and Simon Groom, Director of the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art.
