Submissions for the Woven Voices Prize 2025 are open.
Submission Guidelines
- Open to UK-based writers who identify as migrants (including those without a British passport, first‑generation migrants, those with English as a second language, asylum seekers, refugees, etc.)
- Submit one original, unpublished, and unproduced full-length play of at least 60 minutes. No musicals, pantomimes, translations, children’s plays, or adaptations (unless ancient myths with no direct borrowing).
- No requirements for the focus or topic of the script.
Entry fee: Free to enter
Prizes:
- First prize – £3,000, dramaturgical support, and a staged reading at the Gate.
- First runner-up – £750 and up to three runners-up will be offered the opportunity to work with a Director and Performers for a day to produce a rehearsed reading which will be professionally filmed for their portfolio.
