“Then & Now” TogetherintheUK Writing Competition is open for submissions.
Submission Guidelines
- 2 entry categories: Under and Over 18s.
- Accepting stories, essays, poetry and song lyrics.
- Entries must be original and unpublished.
- Open to first or second-generation migrants, asylum seekers, refugees, international students or international workers who have lived or currently live.
- Theme: Then & Now’ – tell your family’s migration story, traditions and life experiences.
Judges: Camilla Reeve, Goran Baba Ali and Maryam Qaiser, Jane Farrell and Sita Brahmachari
Entry fee: Free-to-enter
Prizes:
- 1st Prize: £250.00 in each age category.
- 2nd Prize: A writing master class for each age category
- 3rd Prize: A gift voucher for a bookstore or cinema near you for each age category
- Winners will be invited to perform their entry at our TogetherintheUK 10th anniversary celebration on January 31st. The invitation is open and is optional. If you do not want to read your entry in person, a member of the TogetherintheUK team may read it for you.
