The Failing Writers Flash Fiction Competition 2025 is open for entries.
Submission Guidelines
- The maximum word count is 300 words (excludes title), and the genre can be anything.
- Open to writers worldwide.
- For full instructions and the phrase you MUST INCLUDE in your story, you’ll need to listen to Series 5, Episode 16 of the Failing Writers Podcast.
Judge: Sarah Lewis from Writers’ HQ
Entry fee: £4 for one entry, £6 for two and £7 for three.
Prizes:
- 1st Prize: £500 & your story turned into a lovely, professional audio production & played on the podcast.
- Runners up: Copies of Scrivener & Failing Writers Podcast merch & your story turned into a lovely, professional audio production & celebrated on the podcast.
Deadline: Friday 24th October, midday GMT.
