Croydon Writers’ Michael Round Prize is accepting submissions.
Submission Guidelines
- Theme: entries must be on the theme ‘Far and Wide’.
- The competition is open to everyone except those judging and administering it.
- One entry is allowed per person.
- Entries must be in English. Translations are not allowed. Must be original and unpublished.
- Entries must be fiction. They must not exceed 1,200 words in length, excluding the title and page headings.
- They must not have been awarded a prize in any other competition. Simultaneous submission to other competitions is allowed, but entries must be withdrawn if they succeed elsewhere.
Judges: Croydon Writers judging panel.
Entry fee: Free to enter.
Prizes:
- First-place: £100 and second-place: £50.
- In addition, shortlisted entrants will be offered a year’s free subscription to Croydon Writers.
- Shortlisted entries may also be published in a planned anthology.
