The Cats Protection Short Story Competition opens for entries on 20th January.
Submission Guidelines
- Submit an original short story all about cats
- Must be between 250 and 1,000 words
- Open to writers ages 18+
- Open to residents of England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland
Judges: Jane Fallon, Anne Twist, Gail Porter, and Matt Richardson
Entry fee: £10
Prizes:
- The winning entries will be published in The Cat magazine and showcased on Cats Protection’s website
- Both category winners will also win a goody bag gifted by competition partner, Cult Pens, value of £350
- Visit to a Cats Protection adoption centre to meet the cats awaiting rehoming
