The Killer Shorts Short Story Competition 2026 is open for entries.
Submission Guidelines
- Open to short stories up to 6000 words.
- Genre: Horror (open to all subgenres)
- Entries must be entirely the work of the entrant and must not have been previously published (whether in print or online).
- The competition is open to entrants of any location, any age (under 18 with parental consent), writing in English.
Judge: Tananarive Due
Entry fee: $25 USD
Prizes: Publication, Killer Trophy, a Scrivener license, and a pro consult with author Chris Hicks.
